North Korea Still Stalling

With its economy in shambles and many people starving North Korea has very little economic clout on the world stage. It is clinging to a nuclear genie to keep it in the worlds spotlight, as talks have dragged on days, months and years. The latest snag between talks with Asian and US officials seems to be with allowing outside officials control over accounting for nuclear materials through not only inspections but extensive testing.

North Korea  has submitted a list of its nuclear materials and facilities and agreed to inspections but talk seem to have stalemated around the issue of testing. With a leader rarely seen in public, the disarmament package that was agreed upon for aid desprately needs to be completed by the country labelled part of the axis of evil by president Bush.
