2008 Can’t End Soon Enough

Most of us will say good riddance to 2008 tonight. A tough year that saw record unemployment, plunging home prices, a credit crisis, world wide stock market collapse and retirement saving dwindle as many 401k’s became 201k’s. A bitter and lengthy 2008 Presidential election did nothing to bring the country closer together.
Everyone is ready to let go of 2008 with a host of events from coast to coast. New York will have the traditional Time Square ball drop with thousands watching live and on TV, in Las Vegas Robby Knievel will attempt to jump the Mirage volcano and others will rest up for the traditional New Years day feast and football.
I hope 2009 will be a healthy, peaceful and prosperous year for everyone. Tonight is a good night to put all our troubles a side and celebrate what we do have.
Cheers For 2009
