Sarah Palin Stresses Need To End Bailouts

This morning at the Republican Governors Association Convention in Miami, Florida governor Sarah Palin addressed the crowd calling for no need to bailout more companies. The government needs to lose their addiction to “opium” Sarah said. Referring to the over-exspenditure of the current government. She called for a rational and well thought out plan between both parties.

I personally dislike the idea of bailouts. They give the government to much power and they never enforce any kind of oversight. So basically the government pays for CEO’s to make their 20$ million  dollars a year, because they refuse to watch over the company and make sure that the government’s money goes to good use. So as a tax payer, I really hate the idea that I am giving money to a guy that already makes 60 times as much as me per year. If the government wants to buy these companies out, fine–but they need to begin to watch and regulate everything that happens. They should open up new jobs in the companies, I don’t care if its janitorial–it is one more job to add to our economy.

As of right now, in my opinion, the only logical bailout to be made is the one on GM. If that ever occurs. Mainly because several million jobs ride on the shoulders of the company. It is a true ladder down effect though, suddenly people are losing jobs at tire companies, parts manufacturers, automotive divisions, car lots, tire and oil changing facilities, and salvage yards. GM causes millions of employments, and it is important that they stay afloat.
