Hillary Clinton has become the subject of many conversations as of late. She had a very strong finish to her candidacy and should expect to recieve a good chance at the VP spot. There is many reasons to accept the job of Vice President and Hillary isn’t one to run away scared. For the first time in my life, I am seeing a potential for someone to shoot down the VP spot when offered it. We can almost expect Obama to ask Clinton, I mean–why wouldn’t he? A large portion of the Us thought she was the best person for the job and Obama was lucky to win the thing. Does Hillary really want to play second fiddle to him though?
Hillary has a few reasons not to join in the kool-aide drinking campaign of Barack Obama. First off, Hillary wants to make a difference for America–she wants to run for President and she wants to be said President. The Vice President doesn’t have all that much power, and their main priorty is to be in place in case something happens to the commander and chief. So I don’t think she would want the job, just because it doesn’t have too much power.
Oh, wait–there is more. Remember back to Hillary’s speech, how she never mentioned John McCain. Remember how she said Obama’s name 15 times, even though every time it was said the crowd booed? When I watched this speech I saw a lady that was basically endorsing one John McCain. Think about it, the Democrats have done everything they could to make sure that everyone sees John McCain as an older George W. Bush. The fact of the matter is, Hillary didn’t paint this image and she appeared to say Obama’s name repeatedly just to hear the boos and the insults. I heard your message loud and clear Hillary, it is off to Denver and if you lose there we should vote for McCain. It was obvious HIllary struggled to endorse, and it was also painfully clear that she was forced into doing so. Why would Hillary like to hear the insults and have a hard time endorsing a guy if she wanted to be his VP. I don’t see it, I don’t like it, and I don’t buy it.
You know how Bill said in a speech that he would never get a chance to campaign again for President. Well, I heard a secret message. To me, Bill was saying that he wanted McCain to win and if McCain did not, then he wouldn’t be able to run a campaign again. Call me crazy, but HIllary has her own agenda’s that aren’t just for the party. Sometimes you have to be for yourself. Hillary has said it numerous times that she respects McCain and that he was a good friend, so why would it surprise me if she wanted him to be President for 4 years. She would be a clear Democratic front-runner in 2012 if McCain got the nod. Hillary has one last chance, by 2016 she will be too old, and if Obama is elected that is the next time she will get to run. The incumbent has never been challenged in  a primary season. I don’t expect it to happen this time either. Running as Vice President would definitely end her chances of running again, if she loses–it is likely the campaign will be blamed on her. If they win, the best case scenario is a horrible 4 years of presidency for Barack. Even if that happens, it is likely that blame will be put on the shoulders of Hillary–in which case, Hillary still doesn’t get to run. There is no good way to slice it if she runs for VP.
You see– there is many reasons, probably even more than I listed, for Hillary to avoid the Vice presidency. I don’t expect Hillary to ask, and I hope to God that Barack doesn’t either.

I read this today and found it a little disturbing.

Overturning Roe v. Wade
John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned, and as president he will nominate judges who understand that courts should not be in the business of legislating from the bench.
Constitutional balance would be restored by the reversal of Roe v. Wade, returning the abortion question to the individual states. The difficult issue of abortion should not be decided by judicial fiat.
However, the reversal of Roe v. Wade represents only one step in the long path toward ending abortion….
That is just wrong, you are uninformed. McCain said that Roe Vs Wade would not be a factor in who he decides should be his Justices. Secondly, Roe vs Wade= not that big of deal for Clinton supporters. Nice try though, Obamabot.
