I Don’t Think She Wants VP

In a statement today the Obama camp came out and said that the Clinton campaign had hinted that they would like to be on the ticket if Barack asked. Now, of course, both campaigns know that this is just playing up the “unity” card and it won’t fly. Hillary Clinton is in this thing till a candidate is declared the nominee and I do not believe she has any intention of running for vice president. This has gone on too long, and I am sure she would love to take a break if she fails to succeed. What also is a tale tale sign is that Hillary is still fighting. If she had wanted the VP slot she would have conceded back in February and fell in line.
Hillary also knows, like me, that she will not have a chance to run for president in 2012 if she is the vice president. If Obama does good as president, while she is VP, he will be declared the nominee before the primaries begin basically. If he does bad, while she is VP, some of the blame will be thrown upon her shoulders and it is likely that neither will garner a nomination. In the case that she doesn’t run for VP and Obama loses, she looks like a prayer from heaven and ends up gaining the momentum required to be the nominee for 2012. She isn’t stupid, she knows that her constituency doesn’t like Obama. Why would she run as Vice President when she knows that Obama is likely to lose simply because her own people will not vote for him. If she runs as Vice President most of them will fall in line, except for me, because they support their candidate (not that I don’t, but I really-really don’t like Obama).
So my guess would be, we will not see Hillary on the ballot. Although, it will probably be spread far and wide that she will have a spot at the table. Most likely dealing with health care or something.
